Gerry is a Higher Education Professional with 10+ years of experience in leadership, community engagement, strategic planning, assessment, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). He has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of California, Riverside (UCR) and a Master of Education from the University of Southern California (USC). A lifelong resident of the Inland Empire (Riverside and San Bernardino counties in CA), Gerry is the son of immigrants who originate in the state of Jalisco, Mexico. He is a first-generation college graduate and proud of it.

Gerry is passionate about social justice and learning about the historical events that created the society we live in today. He is strongly committed to the belief that all people should have an equitable opportunity to live a fully dignified life. Gerry is passionate about inviting everyone into the Diversity, Equity, and inclusion conversation and he believes that everyone has something to offer.

Gerry is a coach and consultant in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, strategic planning, organizational excellence, and leadership development. He works to introduce individuals to the DEI conversation and helps them map out how they can become agents for positive change. Gerry also works with organizations, helping them to intentionally and meaningfully incorporate DEI into their operations and strategic plans, and in the training of their teams and executives. Gerry believes that both individuals and organizations have a role to play in shaping culture and society.
